Leadership Case StudyWhittan Storage Team Leaders receive their awards

Allen Partnership has worked with Whittan Storage & Link 51 to develop a customised award which would be recognised by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). Keith Haycock the companies Safety & Training Manager commented "Working with Allen Partnership the company has benefited from their vast experience to develop a quality assured ILM programme. Our vision is to develop our team leaders to cope with the myriad of changes taking place and the added value is that this programme is nationally recognised by ILM".

Most training events at times fail to link learning to the working environment however this programme was developed to incorporated three assessment elements, namely:

  1. A examination on conclusion of the programme.
  2. A team briefing or presentation.
  3. A 1200 word assignment based on work based improvements.

The Whittan Storage Team Leaders award is rolling out across the group ahead of schedule due to the success in which the team leaders have enthused about the programme, how they have taken new ideas back in to the work place and management now feel that they have an additional functional member of the management team.
